War In The Time of Peace
Wars around the world in so many places. People losing loved ones forever on the every day basis. And here in the time of peace we are also at war. We are at war with each other and at war with ourselves.
It is hard to empathize with something you have never felt. The loss of a loved one...forever... I couldn't even imagine the pain of a loss of the child at war, but I understand the pain of a loss, and my heart goes out to all of those for whom that loss is irreversible.
In the devotional emails I get from "Our Daily Bread Ministry" they future a quote of the day, and the other day when the fear of the long term loss was getting the best of me this quote came in:
Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith? Mark 4:40
I have faith that I am strong enough to handle what's to come, I just don't know if my children are. They are too young to understand... they are too fragile... too far...
I am also afraid that if my children are like me - they are about to suffer the greatest trauma in their life, the uncontrollable painful longing for the parents they cannot be with and the constant pain that comes with that feeling.
I understand the pain of a mother wanting to hug her child and having to stand back and let someone take that child away, with the hope, that they can see each other again in the future. With the hope they can be reunited again.
Sometimes nothing you do can change the outcome to come, and all is like a dream unfolding in front of your eyes, a dream you cannot control and the dream you cannot wake up from.
So many parents and grandparents are suffering right now legal separation from children that were brightening their day in the past, so many lives damaged for no reason, so many dreams taken away. I truly hope it's not all just about the money...
We are all alive, but we are legally dead...
Help Strengthen Parental Rights to stop unnecessary separations of children with their parents. Promote Innocent Tears Ac. Sign the Petition today and share it as often as you can with anyone who will listen.
