No Darkness Without Light
"My name is Heather X. I am with the Department of Family and Protective Services." - you hear those words as a parent and your heart drops.
This is a dark place for every parent. Who? What? Why? What now? You have a hard time paying any attention, you suddenly can't think, everything freezes and there you are alone in complete darkness... But...
"The Lord said that he would dwell in thick darkness." 1 Kings 8:12.
No matter how much confusion and pain you have ahead it's not anything you are going through alone, you are never alone, at that moment you are being carried by the power higher than you, that power holds you tight gluing the pieces of your heart together as you listen to the spill of this human that is not going to tell you much of anything and who has total power and control over you and your child from that moment forward.
You can't cry. Not because you can't cry, but because something is holding you tightly together not letting you fall apart right in front of your child, because you are the God to your child no matter what anyone says, and you are the example of strength, fearlessness and courage. You have to keep it together.
I see DFPS cases as punishment for past failed relationships, either it's mother-in-law that doesn't like you or the ex it didn't work out with, the child whose parent you divorced or never married, the teacher you never engaged with - failed relationships lead to "reason to believe" complaints.
It takes time to look at DFPS with a clear, calm consciousness with steady faith in who you are. You learn to calmly listen to someone else's repeated words and exaggerations. DFPS and their contractors paint tragic and intense situations and make sure to use offensive language to create an effect of the violent out of control behavior, when in reality they are not describing you - I often wonder if they are describing themselves.
In moments of emotional overwhelming emptiness we start feeling that this void is not empty at all it is filled with overpowering love of the spirit that carries us through life with kindness and care of a loving parent. We are all children of our parents, of this planet and of this Universe. We all deserve to live and be happy. And one day we all hope that the moment will come when we can learn to be happy together as a part of a whole.
I should have already broken in pieces the amount of pain I have been through emotionally, yet here I am looking for a solution to end "reason to believe" allegations. DFPS reform is a must! And it is in thick darkness because I am a strong child of the strong beings I see a must for a change with Innocent Tears Act as a beginning of the light at the end of this DFPS tunnel.
Support DFPS Reform. Talk about the need for a DFPS Reform. Push Innocent Tears Act into the law and make a difference! You are not alone. And together we can make a difference.
United parents today build a better future for our children tomorrow!
