Monster is a Relative Term

"To a canary a cat is a monster" ...  Monster is a relative term that depends on perception...

While DFPS's affidavits paint parents as monsters, to those parents and their children it's DFPS's system and the laws that support it are the true monsters.  It is a heartless monster machine that swallows your life in big time gulps without the possibility of salvation.  Anyone can make a mistake, but no one can return the time that was stolen from parents and children imposed by the DFPS' separations.

Our Lawmakers created this Monster and our Lawmakers have the Power to Change it.  Change is needed!

How can we expect our society to be healthy if the first traumatic experience that our children experience is the society separating them from their parents.  How can you expect our children to trust the society that does not know right from wrong, does not differentiate people's individual needs and causes emotional trauma to its citizens.  Parents and children are given to each other by nature, not society and it is parents and children human, natural right, given to us at birth, to be together.  Parents and Children Belong Together.

The New Testament teaches us forgiveness, redemption and love and here we are over 2000 years later still hating and prioritizing punishment, not the right thing to do.  DFPS involvement does not signal criminal malicious intent - it signals relationship crisis.  Either it's a relationship with your children, co-parent, school or some other person, that relationship needs correction not separation.  The right thing to do when you encounter a person in crisis is to help that person, not to destroy them and their children.  The right thing to do is to dive deeper in that relationship and its issues, discover the missing piece of the puzzle and help that family overcome their obstacles while together.

Separation of the children with their parents and parent alienation is not only wrong, but it is unhealthy.  The only point of this separation is to cause pain and to punish.  It not only does not solve the true cause of the DFPS case but it also solidifies the destruction of the already broken relationship, leads to a lifetime trauma and a lifetime loss of the time of children with their parents.

Something that the Department of Family and Protective Services could have helped fix, they inevitably destroy.

Children do not take pleasure in financial gain, they take pleasure in living and playing with their parents, their siblings, their pears and in the feeling of belonging and being home.  Being forced not to come home is the worst experience my children have ever had.  Being forced not to speak to the parents, being forced to live in a stranger's house, being forced out of your home - how would you feel?
